Dias Quilters' Guild Membership

About the Guild

We strive to keep our members informed by way of our monthly newsletter and we aim to keep all involved and interested through various activities at our meetings. We endeavour to utilise the immense talent and knowledge we have in our midst by involving our members, as well as the many teachers we have within the guild. We are proud of our SAQG accredited teachers and all our other teachers, and are extremely grateful to them for their willingness to share various quilting topics and techniques at our monthly meetings.

We have an extensive collection of Quilting books in our Library, available to our members. We regularly update our collection in line with current trends.

Our members are actively involved in “giving back” to those less privileged, by way of charity quilts, which are lovingly made and donated to those in need. In the past we have donated “Care Packages” comprising of toiletries, as well as various knitted items such as beanies and scarves to a number of charitable organizations. Our goodwill within the guild continues to thrive.

The Dias Quilters Guild will host our annual quilt show from 25 – 28 September 2024. We will once again showcase the talent of our members.

It is also a tradition to offer workshops during the week of the annual show. We strive to utilise the expertise of SAQG accredited teachers for these workshops.

Quilters are avid shoppers and always looking for reason to build their “stash”, for this reason, we invite vendors to the Show to sell their products and tempt the avid shoppers. Our Tearoom is a popular venue for visitors and members to chat over a cup of tea/coffee and delicious treat.

The annual quilt show is a wonderful platform to create public awareness and promote the Guild.
