Try something different!

In this class Macky will guide you through the steps to create this funky fabric box.   A very relaxed stress free class.

Workshop requirements:

A. Please cut FOUR SETS of the following for the sides of your box. If you are using a focal fabric for the centre you need to cut that as one of the 3”squares
2 squares - 3” x 3”
1 square - 3 ½” x 3 ½”
1 Square - 4 ½” x 4 ½”
1 Square – 5” x 5”

B. LID
1 square - 3” x 3”
1 square - 3 ½” x 3 ½”
1 square - 4 ½” x 4 ½”
2 squares - 6”x 6” One will be for the base
You will need fabric for your flower to cut
5 x 3” diameter circles – I will bring 3” stencils
1 x 3” diameter circle for the flower centre

C. SIDES OF LID
2 each of placemat batting, outside fabric and lining fabric – 6” x 1 ¼”
For front cut 1 each of placemat batting, outside fabric and lining fabric – 6” x 6”

D. LINING
6 squares - 6” x 6” of inside fabric
6 squares - 6” x 6” of placemat batting

E. Button or bead for centre of flower, other beads/findings, a few embroidery threads
Matching machine thread

Optional: Variegated thread for top of lid

¼” foot
Applique foot
Ballpoint pen and 12” ruler
Hand needles
