These little zipped pouches have a million uses and make excellent gifts.
In this half day workshop, you will learn to insert zips around a curve, insert a zip inside the lining and bind inside seams. During class we will make a small Dumpling but you will take home the pattern for both sizes.

This is a beginner level class and will help you get familiar with your zipper foot.

Class requirements:

• Outside fabric 10 x 14inches
• Lining fabric 10 x 10 inches
• Iron on batting 10 x 10 inches
• 45cm standard dressmaking zip
• 20cm 12mm ribbon to match outside fabric

Equipment:

• Sewing machine in good working order
• Zipper foot, darning foot for quilting (optional)
• Sewing needles size 80 or 90
• Hand sewing needle for tacking
• Sharp pins
• Sewing threads for bag and tacking
• Lighter or matches
• Sewing scissors for fabric, thread and cutting the zip
• Marker pen or pencil visible on your fabrics
• Other general sewing supplies, pins etc etc
