Can you do the basics of Free Motion Quilting but need help putting everything into practise?  Have you got quilts that need to be finished but you don’t know where to start and feel, quite frankly, intimidated?  This class is going to really help you!

The sessions will be centred around putting basic principles into practise.  Often the hardest part is just getting started.  We will be looking at examples, sharing ideas and trying out designs on paper.  By breaking down the design process into manageable steps, we can take out the fear.  Working on paper means you can learn the process and enjoy yourself without the fear of messing up a precious quilt!

Nothing beats getting stuck in and just trying out new ideas.  There’s no right or wrong, just the potential for some really awesome, unique ideas!

Session 1:
Basic design principle and techniques
Rulers – Straight lines and more

Session 2:
Applique and printed blocks
Sashings and borders
